Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is ready. I am. I decided to be creative this year and made everyone photo calenders. I used the same software I use to design the coffee table books. They turned out beautifully. To go with them my husband made wooden ornaments. They turned out just as beautiful. Of course. He makes gorgeous furniture. This year I took our Christmas card photo of the dogs under the tree. I covered them in lights. It was quite a challenge. They love hanging out under the tree, but trying to get them to stay with lights on was funny. I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas.

Today, I photographed a 1 month old baby boy for about two hours, on location in his parent's home. It's nice to do it that way because when the baby gets fussy, everything is there to calm him down. Plus, they are in familiar surroundings. It goes much smoother. The mother even got to feed him. The parents loved the photos, and loved the idea of me coming to their home.

This past Saturday found me in McKeesport. All the girls had mimosa’s with a strawberry slice in the morning. They offered one to me, though I was 'on the job' and therefore, declined. It was a nice thought. Amanda and Scott were a lovely couple. We went to Beaver’s golf course, and found the one and only red tree. She willingly sat in the grass and looked beautiful with the leaves around her.

Saturday was also my wedding anniversary, so I asked their DJ to play my wedding song: What a Wonderful World. I didn’t mind working on my anniversary. It was nice to be around all the love.

I know I haven’t been on in a while. I have been working on weddings and trying to find studio space. Jarrett and Brooke were so cute. We started to take some photos outside, but that only lasted 2 minutes until it started raining. Luckly we were at the Marriott by the airport. They have a beautiful lobby with a paino. She jumped right up on the paino. He sat down and started to play the paino. Well, pretended to play. The theme was Mickey and Minnie. Everyone danced the night away. Even the DJ got on the dance floor and taught everyone a new dance.

A lot of time and effort go into finding new clients. I would rather spend that time and effort on you. Advertising is expensive and instead of paying them I would rather pay you. I am starting a new program. The Rewards Program. For each referral that becomes a client I will pay you $15 and after you refer 3 brides, the price will go up to $30. Don’t forget to tell them to mention your name so I know to reward you. Have a beautiful weekend!

My name is Harmonie King. I have been a photographer for 15 years. I started taking pictures in high school. I went to Manchester Craftman’s Guild on the North Side where I was given my first camera and fell in love. My cousin asked me to take the black & white pictures at her wedding, and I fell in love all over again. I went to work for a photographer as an assistant. Soon after, I started my own business. That was 5 years ago. I love what I do, and feel honored when a bride and groom hire me to photograph their special day.
My husband & I live in Crafton Heights with our 2 little dogs. Mabel is 3 and Seymour is 3 months old. They are the friendliest little dogs ever, and would love nothing more than to play catch. My husband is a cabinet maker. I love to watch hockey. GO PENS!!!!!! My favorite movie is The Big Lebowski. My favorite bands are Beck, Tool, Flaming Lips, David Gray, & Sting. I know that’s 5, but I can’t help myself. I spend my free time playing with my dogs.
